Ryan Nemeth Recalls Pre-Show Jitters Before TNA iMPACT, Says Bully Ray Had A Surprise Speech For The Locker Room
Ryan Nemeth was fired up for TNA’s debut on AMC.
On Thursday, January 15, AMC hosted their first episode of TNA iMPACT. The show featured top acts like Mike Santana, The Hardys, and AJ Styles while also surprising fans with names like Daria Rae and Elayna Black.
Speaking with Busted Open After Dark. Ryan Nemeth recalled the company’s pre-show meeting and said that he had pre-show jitters for the first time in a long time.
“We had a pre-show meeting as we often do. Carlos spoke, some of our executives spoke. Tommy Dreamer made a pretty emotional and historical speech going through his entire career leading up to this point. I’ll just tell tales out of school, he’s talking about the roster and saying everyone is handpicked and here for a reason, we don’t hire everybody, everybody is here for a strategic piece of the puzzle. I know that we all felt respected and honored and I started to get some goosebumps. He got a little emotional. We had a surprise speech by Bully Ray, which kind of got me fired up. Not kind of, I was massively fired up. I had, for the first time in a long time, pre-show jitters. It’s just because the stage is so big, the awareness and the platform is so huge. It feels like we’ve all put in this work for the past year to get to this point. It’s like we’re all simultaneously crossing a finish line but also entering a new race, which is much bigger of a mountain to climb.”
