ECW and wrestling legend Sabu has passed away at the age of 60.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider first reported the news. Further details on his passing have not been disclosed.
Sabu competed in his retirement match against Joey Janela in a no ropes barbed wire match at Spring Break over WrestleMania weekend.
Sabu's long-time friend and tag team partner Rob Van Dam posted a tribute.

Sabu began his career in 1990 and is one of the most legendary hardcore wrestlers in history. He is best known for his time in ECW, where he was a triple crown champion. He began his career in the mid-80s and wrestled for WWE, WCW, NJPW, TNA Wrestling and various independent and territorial promotions. He made multiple appearances for AEW in 2023.
Along with his ECW championships, Sabu won the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title and was inducted into the 2024 Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Sabu is one of the most influential and innovative hardcore wrestlers of all time, popularizing high-risk moves with weapons, dangerous dives and jumps, and chair-based offense in US wrestling.
