Adonis has attracted unfavorable attention towards himself in the past when he began to play the role of a President Trump-supporting character in CMLL which grabbed the attention of media outlets such as VICE and CNN which can be seen in the embedded video above. Following the news of Adonis' homophobic comments making the rounds on social media, he sent out the following tweet reflecting on his Pro-Trump gimmick that in his words has since been accepted.

The promoter of RevPro, Andy Quildan then took to Twitter to comment on Sam Adonis' remarks and in Quildan's tweet he wrote that he will be releasing an official statement to follow up on the words he gave to the live crowd during the RevPro show following Adonis' actions.

Independent wrestler 'Parrow' who is openly gay decided to chime in on the Sam Adonis situation. Parrow noted that he spoke with Sam after the news went viral and he believes that Adonis understands the wrong that he has done and why it is being looked down upon.

Sam Adonis has since came out and issued an apology to all who were offended by his comments. Adonis added that "Sam Adonis" is a fictional character he portrays in the world of professional wrestling and that character does not reflect his real-life thoughts or values.

Adonis, real name Samuel Polinsky is the real-life brother of WWE color commentator Corey Graves and as the news began to surface about Sam, Graves took to Twitter to indirectly share his thoughts about the situation involving his brother.

On Monday afternoon, Rev Pro also issued a statement, and apology on the matter.

As this situation continues to unfold and more details come to the forefront, we will continue to update this article.
