Sam Adonis: Mr Iguana Is One Of The Greatest People In Mexico

Sam Adonis speaks about Mr Iguana, noting that he is one of the greatest people in Mexico and compares him to La Parka.

Since WWE acquired AAA last year, Mr Iguana has seen a significant uptick in fan discussion and appreciation thanks to his comedy gimmick along with his lizard puppet, La Yesca.

While speaking to Bill Apter in a new interview, Sam Adnois was asked about Mr Iguana, calling him one of the ‘greatest people in Mexico.’

“Mr Iguana is one of the greatest people in Mexico, and in all honesty, I’m so happy for his success because nobody has taken him serious for nearly a long enough time. I personally say Mr Iguana is my generation’s La Parka. Not necessarily, you know, as far as a style goes, but as far as being 100% organic and creative. The guy is- he’s playing chess when everyone else is playing checkers, and it’s apparent in the ring. The nuance and the subtleties of his performance is so different, and that’s beyond the dancing skeleton part. That’s what made La Parka great. So Iguana finally getting his recognition is excellent to me. Couldn’t be happier for him, and I think it’s a testament to how much the American fans like him.”
