Sami Callihan Explains Why He Re-Signed With IMPACT Wrestling

Sami Callihan wasted no time announcing he was re-signing with IMPACT Wrestling to start 2021.

Callihan was set to become a free agent at the end of the year but took to social media just minutes into the New Year to reveal he had signed a new two-year deal with IMPACT.

Speaking on the Battleground podcast, Callihan explained why he stayed loyal to IMPACT Wrestling.

"I love IMPACT Wrestling, I have to give it my all. I don't think it's any secret that I wave this IMPACT flag harder than anybody else. Eddie Edwards and I have a lot of differences, but that's one thing we have in common and I have a lot of respect for. Eddie Edwards as well is the heart and soul of IMPACT. We have the flag harder than anybody else and are loyal to this company because this company is everything to us. I love IMPACT Wrestling and have loved IMPACT Wrestling when I was younger. It was a big thing for me to help change this company and make it better. I feel I've done that over the last three years and that's why I signed a multi-year deal. I love IMPACT and want to be the face of IMPACT because I want to see the company continue to grow into being one of the biggest wrestling companies on the planet," he said.

Callihan has enjoyed much success in IMPACT, including a run as IMPACT World Champion.

He is set to face Eddie Edwards at IMPACT Hard to Kill in a Barbed Wire Massacre match. You can view the current lineup for Hard to Kill by clicking here
