Sami Callihan Names Samoa Joe, Abyss, And Mick Foley As His Dream Opponents

Sami Callihan has three dream opponents in mind.

Sami Callihan has become a flag bearer for IMPACT Wrestling, sticking with the company throughout the years and consistently being a staple of television and in high profile positions. IMPACT Wrestling is set to air its 1000th episode of IMPACT on September 14, and as part of the event they are bringing back legends such as Team 3D (Bully Ray & D-Von), Awesome Kong, and The Beautiful People (Angelina Love & Velvet Sky).

Speaking on Sunday Night's Main Event, Callihan was asked who he'd like to face at IMPACT 1000.

"I have three. Number one, Abyss. Abyss is a guy, one of the biggest influences in my career. I've had some great conversations with him in the past. Me and Abyss, Monster's Ball match in IMPACT Wrestling would have been amazing in any generation. Myself vs. Mick Foley, I know that is one that is probably never going to happen. Third is one of the guys who helped build IMPACT Wrestling, Samoa Joe. That's a dream match for me and a lot of fans and a match that has eluded me my entire career," said Callihan.

Of those three, only Joe remains active in an in-ring capacity. He is currently signed to AEW. Abyss, who currently works as a producer in WWE, has not wrestled since 2019. Foley has not wrestled since 2012.
