Sami Callihan: The Same Ten People Have Gotten The Same Ten Jobs For The Last Two Decades

Sami Callihan speaks more on the creative changes in TNA.
On June 17, Tommy Dreamer announced that he had parted ways with TNA Wrestling. Dreamer worked as one of the top creative minds in the company. Hours later, Sam Callihan announced he had been been fired by the company. Callihan filled many roles, and thought he was in line to join creative before being let go.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Callihan was asked if TNA needed a creative shake up.
“100%. That’s nothing against Tommy. He has done a lot of stuff for a lot of people and he’s been there for a decade. It’s one of those things, and this isn’t just TNA, the same people get the same jobs in every company. Someone is in WWE, they leave WWE and go to TNA or NWA. Someone goes here, they get burnt out, and they go to the next company. It goes full circle where they come back and get the same job. The same ten people have gotten the same ten jobs in pro wrestling for the last two decades. When is a television wrestling program going to pull the trigger on the younger generation and give them the keys to show what they can do?”
Elsewhere during the interview, Callihan stated that TNA has played it safe since moving to AMC in January. You can find his full comments here.
