Two championship contenders face off on Smackdown tonight.
Last week, Baron Corbin lost in the main event of Smackdown to WWE Champion AJ Styles and after the match Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens tried to attack him. Corbin ended up getting the upper hand and tonight he will face Sami Zayn in a singles match. WWE.com announced the match Tuesday morning.
Zayn, Corbin, Owens, and Dolph Ziggler have all been given the opportunity to become WWE Champion by winning a fatal five-way match at WWE Fastlane. AJ Styles was originally set to defend his championship against Zayn and Owens in a triple threat match but Ziggler and Corbin were added after they won matches against Zayn and Owens respectively.
WWE Fastlane will be the last Smackdown exclusive pay-per-view and also the last pay-per-view before Wrestlemania 34. The winner of the fatal five-way match will likely face Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura at Wrestlemania.
Also scheduled for tonight's Smackdown is an appearance by free agent John Cena.
