Sami Zayn Unsure Of His Place At WrestleMania 33

Sami Zayn has been in flux with his status on the RAW roster since his call up in early 2016.

He's been in marquee matches against the likes of Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho and Braun Strowman, and was a part of the opening multi-man Intercontinental Title ladder match at WrestleMania 32 which many viewed as the best match of the night.

But even though he has been a bigger part of Monday Night Raw in recent weeks, Zayn doesn't have a match on the WrestleMania 33 card. As of now, the former NXT Champion still isn't even aware of any plans for him at the biggest show of the year.

"To be honest, I really don't know,” Zayn told a group of media during a conference call via The Whig“This time of year is so crazy, and WrestleMania is so big. There's always these marquee matches. Real estate is really, really tight on WrestleMania so I really don't know what I'll be doing.”

Currently he's been embroiled in a feud with recently called up Samoa Joe, even facing "The Destroyer" at the last RAW exclusive pay-per-view Fastlane.

“Whether that will carry to the show on WrestleMania or not, I really don't know," he said. "It remains to be seen. The card for WrestleMania is always changing."

Zayn has recently gone on record to admit he questions the roles of part-timers on the card. He added during that same interview that although he has his thoughts on part-timers, he understands why they get put in the spots they're in. He knows the crowd enjoys seeing them which, in turn, helps him out because more eyes are on the product.
