Sami Zayn Wins WWE United States Title On WWE SmackDown

Sami Zayn won the WWE United States Championship on the August 29th episode of WWE SmackDown.

Zayn defeated Solo Sikoa in the main event of the episode.

Zayn finished off Solo with a second Helluva Kick. The bout saw MFTs (Talla Tonga, JC Mateo, & TOnga Loa) get involved, but be thwarted by Jacob Fatu & Jimmy Uso.

This marks the first reign as WWE United States Champion for Sami Zayn.

Sikoa’s reign lasted 62 days. He made two successful title defenses.
