WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 is Sami Zayn's WrestleMania moment.
Sami Zayn has the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of competing in the main event against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in his hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at WWE Elimination Chamber 2023.
Sami Zayn is fully prepared for his hometown to be in his corner at Elimination Chamber and says he finds himself in a similar position to names like Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston en-route to their crowning achievements in WrestleManias gone by.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani recorded on February 17, 2023, Sami Zayn compared his current placement to his own personal WrestleMania.
"Man, total whirlwind, an emotional whirlwind as well. Not always in the most pleasant ways," said Zayn. "You find yourself in this really unique position, I do, in a Daniel Bryan/Kofi Kingston type of thing. I'm like, 'Man, I don't want to sound crazy here, but I think this can go the distance.' You get so close and then you're like, 'Oh, it might not be me after all.' There's a part of you that's gonna sting, you know what I mean. I still don't know. For me, tomorrow's WrestleMania, you know what I'm saying?"
In his previous interview with Ariel, Sami Zayn described how he envisions himself being able to defeat Roman Reigns and carrying the WWE Championship for at least six months. Read more here.
