Sammy Guevara Announces He Is Cleared, Says He And Tay Melo Are Doing Well After Daughter's Birth

Sammy Guevara is doing well.

On November 29, former TNT Champion Sammy Guevara announced that he and Tay Melo welcomed their daughter into the world. Guevara has been absent from AEW since AEW WrestleDream on October 1, as he suffered a concussion at the show. On the October 4 episode of AEW Dynamite, Don Callis announced that Guevara was not cleared to compete.

In a video Guevara posted on his YouTube channel, he provided an update following the birth of their daughter.

“It’s been a minute since we’ve been on here. I’m doing good, I’m cleared. If it was gonna happen, it kind of happens at the best time," Guevara said.

After Melo noted that Guevara was helpful at home, especially in the last month of her pregnancy, Sammy stated that he, Tay, and the baby were all doing well. He did not comment on the timeline for his return to AEW.

As of this writing, there is no word on when Sammy Guevara will return to AEW programming. Fightful will provide more information as it becomes available.
