Sammy Guevara: If I Could Change One Thing In AEW, Santana And Ortiz Would Have Won The Tag Titles

On the first episode of AEW Dynamite, the Inner Circle was established with Sammy Guevara, Santana, Ortiz, & Jake Hager joining AEW World Champion Chris Jericho.

The Inner Circle would be involved in major stories throughout the early days of AEW and into the pandemic, and while Jericho was AEW World Champion and Guevara went on to win the AEW TNT Title, Santana & Ortiz never won the AEW Tag Team Championships despite many fans hoping it would happen.

Hiroshi Tanahashi: Whoever Beats Jon Moxley For IWGP World Title Will Have A Big Spotlight On Them

"I love those guys," Guevara told Chris Van Vliet on Insight when speaking about Santana & Ortiz. "If I could change one thing in AEW, I would have made them tag team champions. I know they're not teaming anymore. One day, maybe they'll get back together. They're just so badass together, especially them in the Inner Circle. To be able to team with those guys, they're such cool guys in the back and badass in the ring. A lot of respect for those guys."

Santana and Ortiz officially split earlier this year with Santana defeating Ortiz on the October 27 episode of AEW Rampage. Santana has not wrestled on AEW TV since his victory.

Guevara and Jericho are back together, and they are set to team with Sting & Darby Allin at AEW Worlds End against Konosuke Takeshita, Powerhouse Hobbs, Ricky Starks, & Big Bill.
