Sammy Guevara Says He's Trying To Be Smarter About His In-Ring Style Now That He's A Dad

Sammy Guevara wants to be smarter about his in-ring style.

Even before signing with AEW, Guevara was known for his in-ring style that features risky dives and other high-flying manuevers.

This style has also been on display through his time with the promotion, mainly highlighted by his cage dive during the annual Blood & Guts match in 2022.

While speaking with PWInsider for a new interview, Guevara said that he's trying to be smarter about his in-ring style these days, mainly due to the fact that he's a dad now.

“When I first became a dad, I said I’d take it easier… and then every match after that, I was jumping off ladders through tables. But yeah, I try to be smarter about it now. Wrestling is a high-risk game, especially with my style. You have to ask yourself: when is the risk worth it? This Sunday, it might be.”

Guevara and Dustin Rhodes are set to challenge for the AEW World Tag Team Championships at AEW Double Or Nothing. Check out the current card for the show by clicking here.
