Sammy Guevara Shuts Down Idea Of Rejoining Don Callis Family, 'That’d Be Going Backwards'

Sammy Guevara is asked if he would ever rejoin the Don Callis Family and firmly explains why that's not the move for him.

Sammy Guevara was briefly a part of the Don Callis Family after turning on Chris Jericho in 2023. His time in the group was brief, due to medical issues, and he was quickly removed from the group, later facing off alongside Jericho, Sting, and Darby Allin.

During an interview with the legendary Bill Apter, Guevara was asked what he thought about Kyle Fletcher's growth under Callis and if he would ever consider returning to the family himself.

"I think it helped him, man. I think ultimately, what happened around the same time is I got hurt, and he had stepped in that spot. I think especially because he just came in the company, it was like a perfect spot for him, a great spot for him to go and be having these competitive matches. Have Don be the heater. I think it was just a perfect combination," he said of Kyle Fletcher joining the family.

Still, he would decline and offer to return as he believed that would be a step backward.

"Honestly, no, I just think that'd be going backwards for me. It didn't work out. It's kind of like, if you wanted to go back with your ex, you know? There's a reason you guys are not together anymore. There's a reason me and Don Callis are not together anymore. So I'm not in the family anymore. So let's just go and cross that bridge, say it's done, and move on."

Elsewhere in the interview, Guevara revealed that Darby Allin invited him to climb Mount Everest with him. Now a father, Guevera explains why that was one Adrenaline Rush he had to turn down. Learn more here.
