Fans may remember Samoa Joe flying through the air at TNA Bound For Glory 2008, hitting a front dropkick on Sting while the two battled in the stands.
Joe had a rough landing as he jumped down a flight of steps, smacking his tailbone on the concrete. You can watch the moment by clicking here.
Many believed that Joe suffered a severe tailbone injury that forced him to change his style and took years off his career.
Samoa Joe has busted the myth that he suffered any injury at all and revealed how the spot changed from the original plan.
Also it was never suppose to be what it was in the chaos of the crowd Sting was moved down the steps and what was supposed to be a cool slightly dangerous flying forearm had to be audibled into that mid air much to my surprise .— Samoa Joe (@SamoaJoe) April 20, 2021
In fact in this media environment I stopped trying to debunk things said about me because in the battle of “truth” vs “narrative”, narrative will always find a way to justify why truth is wrong. Also it makes it easier for me to sus out who is full of it.— Samoa Joe (@SamoaJoe) April 20, 2021

Joe has unfortunately been sidelined from in-ring competition since February 2020 due to a concussion. He was released by WWE on April 15.
