Samoa Joe: Gabe Kidd And Jay White Are Names That Can Replicate My Intensity On The Microphone

Samoa Joe praises Gabe Kidd, Jay White, and Eddie Kingston.
Throughout his career, Samoa Joe has often been praised for the authenticity that he brings to his promos and matches. Even if that trait is largely absent from today’s world of wrestling, Joe believes that there are a few names left that still bring something special to the table.
On the latest episode of the Marking Out podcast with MVP and Dwayne Swayze, Joe named Gabe Kidd as one star that can replicate his intensity on the microphone.
“I think there’s a lot, man. Intensity wise, I’ve got to be honest, I’ve been watching or studying a little nemesis coming over here, Gabe Kidd. I think he’s a tremendous young man who’s got kind of the right edge to him. I think it could work out for him. [Intensity] is an under-appreciated commodity in this world that, that real visceral mean intensity which I can always appreciate.”
Joe also went on to name Jay White.
“I think people like Jay White, that’s another guy that I think had got this kind of neat persona. I know he can kind of hit that promo vibe pretty well and stuff. There’s just a lot, there’s a lot of young talent out there.”
Eddie Kingston’s name also came up in the conversation, prompting Joe to praise him as well.
“I think when you talk about authenticity, I think you’re getting a very real opinion from Eddie. If you know Eddie, it’s not too far off from where he genuinely feels. A lot of it too is because he feels passionate about these things, you know? He’s speaking about things that he does feel some type of way about. I think it’s very rare that you have people who are able to tap into that real emotion that they feel inside and be able to craft it and get it out there and communicate to people how that feeling is and have them feel the same way. That’s really the hallmark of that.”
