The financial issues of TNA are no secret in the wrestling world. Many wrestlers openly complained about late checks, which led to their departure from the company.

One man who was always paid on time was Samoa Joe

Speaking to Sam Roberts on the Not Sam Wrestling Podcast, Joe explained that TNA always took care of him during his time with the company.

"Even in my time in TNA -- however people felt creatively about what I was doing, I knew that we had a good business arrangement and they took care of me. My checks weren't late. I know some peoples were, but mine weren't. (If they were late), I would have been a phantom. They made an extraordinary effort in keeping right with my deal. Eventually when that wore away, I was done with that and WWE came."

Joe wrestled in TNA from 2005 to 2015. He showed up in NXT shortly after his TNA, confronting Kevin Owens. After a big night at the merchandise stand, he was signed to a full-time contract.
