Samoa Joe Says Steiner Math Promo Was Two Takes, Petey Williams Broke On The First

Perhaps no promo in IMPACT Wrestling history is more memorable that Scott Steiner's "Steiner Math" promo.

In the promo, Steiner explained why his genetic superiority gave him the numbers advantage in his triple threat match against Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle.

Vaughn Vertigo: Once I Take The OTT NLW Title, I'll Make Sure To Give The Irish A Fair Shot

Speaking to Phil Strum from Under The Ring, Joe was asked about the infamous promo.

"I was there for it live and it was hilarious. I was standing on the other side of the camera guy, laughing. To Scott's credit, I think it was only a two-take go and I think the first take was just because maybe Petey (Williams) broke because nobody was really expecting it. It was hilarious. Still is," Joe said.

Steiner's calculations did not account for Kurt Angle being injured and replaced by Frankie Kazarian.

Samoa Joe would win the triple threat bout and retain his TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Joe is set to be in action at ROH Death Before Dishonor when he defends his ROH TV Championship.
