Samoa Joe Submits Eddie Kingston To Retain AEW World Championship At AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming

The World Title remains in Joe’s possession.

Closing out AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming was an AEW World Championship match between Eddie Kingston and the champion Samoa Joe.

The Opps’ HOOK was ejected from ringside to prevent him from assisting Joe. HOOK’s involvement in the Steel Cage match at AEW Full Gear led to Joe becoming a two-time AEW World Champion.

The conclusion of the Joe versus Kingston bout saw Joe trap his opponent in the Coquina Clutch, and Kingston submitted. It was Joe’s first defense of his new reign.
