Samoa Joe On TNA Talent Finding Success In WWE: "Cream Rises To The Top"

Samoa Joe says he made it to WWE by being one of the best, and others have followed him by doing the same.

Samoa Joe and other WWE wrestlers like AJ Styles, Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, and Eric Young have found success in WWE and NXT. These wrestlers also preformed together at Impact Wrestling (formerly known as TNA). Samoa Joe arrived in NXT back in 2015 and appeared on the main roster in January. In an interview with Press of Atlantic City, Samoa Joe explained why it makes sense he, Styles, Roode, Aries, and Young made it in WWE.

“It’s no surprise to me. It’s funny because it’s surreal how often I hear fans are surprised that in 2017 who would have thought, which is often a term that I hear used whenever you use any of those names in conjunction with WWE. It is definitely no surprise. The cream rises to the top. The very best of this business will find their way to the biggest stage and seeing all those guys now come to WWE just proves that theory and it’s awesome to see everybody up here with me,” said Samoa Joe.

Samoa Joe does not yet have an announced match at Wrestlemania 33, but AJ Styles is facing Shane McMahon, and Austin Aries is challenging for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Bobby Roode is NXT Champion and Eric Young is the leader of up-and-coming heel stable SAnitY on NXT. In the rest of the interview, Samoa Joe talked about his goals of winning championships in WWE and taking on the "Destroyer" nickname given to him by Triple H upon his main roster debut.
