SANADA will be at Forbidden Door 2.
During the June 14 episode of AEW Dynamite, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA appeared on the video screen to issue an open challenge for his title at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2 on June 25.
SANADA has been the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion since NJPW Sakura Genesis 2023 on April 8 when he defeated Kazuchika Okada. He successfully defended the title against Yota Tsuji at NPW Dominion on June 4.
SANADA's open challenge was accepted by "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry later on AEW Dynamite. Perry said that he promised to win gold in 2023 and he wanted HOOK by his side in the match.

Jay White successfully defended the IWGP World Heavyweight Title at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2022 in a four-way bout against Adam Cole, Hangman Page, and Kazuchika Okada.
