SANADA Questions Kazuchika Okada's 'Lame' Support For Wrestle Kingdom Main Event Fan Vote

SANADA responds to Kazuchika Okada.

Earlier in November, Kazuchika Okada stated he would support a fan vote for the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 18 if that's what the fans wanted, but conceded that the IWGP World Heavyweight Title bout should headline.

Okada is set to face Bryan Danielson at Wrestle Kingdom 18 while SANADA will defend the IWGP World Heavyweight title against Tetsuya Naito.

Speaking to Tokyo Sports, SANADA jokingly responded by saying, "Isn't that lame for Mr. Okada's opinion? It's a match between me, who became champion after beating Okada, and Naito, who won the G1 championship after beating Okada. I think Mr. Okada has been the main event of the Tokyo Dome because of his ability. I don't think it's right to borrow Bryan's name recognition and have the fans vote for him this time."

In 2014, the fans voted for the Wrestle Kingdom main event as the IWGP Intercontinental Title bout between Shinsuke Nakamura and Hiroshi Tanahashi was seen on the level as the IWGP Heavyweight Title match between Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito.

As of now, SANADA vs. Naito will headline the event. Fans can check out the current lineup for Wrestle Kingdom 18 by clicking here.
