SANADA Reveals He Worked NJPW G1 Climax 33 Tournament With Distal Biceps Tendon Tear

SANADA reveals an injury.

IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA took to Instagram to reveal he had a "distal biceps tendon tear" during the G1 Climax 33 tournament that he worked through.

His post stated that he will take "the off-season" to heal up.

SANADA competed in the annual G1 Climax tournament, which began on July 15, going undefeated in block action with a 7-0 record before losing to EVIL in the quarterfinals.

SANADA wrestled on the final night of action on August 13, teaming with Taichi, DOUKI & Yoshinobu Kanemaru to face HOUSE OF TORTURE (EVIL, SHO, Yujiro Takahashi & Dick Togo).

It is unknown how much time SANADA will miss. He is scheduled to compete at IMPACT Emergence on August 27.

NJPW does not resume touring until September 8.
