Santos Escobar made a statement at WWE Survivor Series.
Santos Escobar was set to face Carlito at WWE Survivor Series 2023. But when Carlito called out Escobar on the November 24 episode of WWE SmackDown, Santos took him out with a cheap shot during a brawl and a subsequent backstage attack. Dragon Lee made the save, and Nick Aldis agreed to let him take Carlito's place.
At the Premium Live Event on November 25, Dragon Lee took on Escobar, and they battled it out in a fast-paced match. Lee delivered plenty of his explosive offense, and he took Escobar down with a hurricanrana off the top. Escobar targeted Lee's mask and nearly unmasked him, as he showcased some of his newfound aggression. In the end, Escobar scored the win with the Phantom Driver.

The match marked Dragon Lee's first time competing on a WWE Premium Live Event since he moved to WWE SmackDown in October. Lee previously debuted on NXT in March.
