On the January 17th AAA on FOX Latin America premiere, Santos would return to a wrestling ring for the first time in 2026, confronting, AAA Latin American Champion El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr, attacking the champion. This would mark his first appearance in a ring since he re-signed with WWE late last year.
In a new digital exclusive posted to WWE’s social media pages, Santos Escobar noted that fans will hear from him on his time.
“What do you want? You want to know something about me now? Six months I was away. Not one question. I show up again. Nah, it doesn’t work like that. You want to know something about me? Now it’s on my time.”

Escobar last wrestled at AAA x WWE Worlds Collide 2025: Los Angeles in June.
