Saquon Shugars Says He Broke His Knee Off, Shares Link To GoFundMe Page

Saquon Shugars needs some help.

On June 19, Saquon Shugars took to Twitter/X to ask for some help. He wrote that he "broke [his] knee off" in his first match, and Shawn Michaels would not let him work. Shugars suggested that he could get wheeled out like Ron Wright, but Michaels and Matt Bloom would not go for it. Shugars shared the link to his GoFundMe and posted a picture of himself in a wheelchair.

Shugars, formerly known as Lucky Ali, made his NXT debut at the live event on February 10. He wrestled at two more live events before he competed at the NXT Level Up taping on March 19. Shugars has not wrestled since the taping due to his injury. In April, he shared a picture from a hospital bed and an MRU of his knee.

As of this writing, there is no word on when Shugars will return to the ring. Fightful wishes him well in his recovery, and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
