Sasha Banks Details Life On The Road With Her Husband

The history of professional wrestling is littered with marriages and relationships that could not survive being separated for long periods of time on the road. Sasha Banks, whose husband works on costumes and gear for the WWE, does not have that problem.

During a recent interview posted on WWE's YouTube channel, Banks discussed the benefits of getting to work and travel alongside her husband, Sarath Ton, another former wrestler who went by the name of Kid Mikaze on the independent circuit.

"It's very nice, I'm very fortunate," Banks said. "It's really crazy because we met in wrestling. So we both started in the independents and we worked for the same company … and then when I got signed to WWE, he quit his job to move to Tampa with me when I went to FCW."

Banks signed with WWE in 2012, but her now-husband's opportunity at employment with the company came a couple of years later. He got his chance as a result of a conversation between Banks and Triple H, who had heard that Ton made wrestling gear and offered him a tryout with the company to help out making costumes for that year's WrestleMania.

"From there on, he made Triple H's gear, the Bella Twins', so many people's gear. And now he gets to travel the world with me and it's really really cool that we're both doing what we love to do," she said. "He's my best friend. I can talk to him about anything. And it's so nice to have someone there when you do get frustrated or you're upset, you have your companion there to talk to."

Banks got married just over a year ago in a private ceremony. Konnor, one half of The Ascension tag team, officiated the ceremony.
