Sasha Banks Thinks Vince McMahon Got Annoyed With Her And Bayley Asking For Women's Tag Titles

Sasha Banks and Bayley have wanted this this to come to fruition for quite some time.

Sasha Banks and Bayley have been calling for the Women's Tag Team Championships to return to WWE dating back to early 2018. The duo known as the Boss 'N' Hug Connection were the first to capture the new versions of the titles when they outlasted five other teams to win the gold at Elimination Chamber this past February. Sasha Banks and Bayley are now headed into their second pay-per-view title defense at WrestleMania 35 where they'll defend the titles against The IIconics, Nia Jax and Tamina, and Beth Phoenix and Natalya in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team match.

Bayley and Banks made their way over to SmackDown Live recently and were defeated by The IIconics which is how the IIconics secured their spot in the Women's Tag Title match at WrestleMania. Sasha Banks shared during an interview with Sky Sports that she is fond of Peyton Royce and Billie Kay and said that if she and Bayley did not capture the Women's Tag Titles at 'Elimination Chamber', The IIconics would've been her choice to win the gold.

"For me I would've said The IIconics, although they're still quite brand new," she said. "They're amazing though, they're really incredible, and they've had the dream to be WWE Tag Team Champions since they were kids too. They seem like a real team too and if it wasn't us then I'd like to have seen them have it. Hopefully we can have some good matches with them."

Sasha Banks and Bayley were determined to get the Women's Tag Titles reintroduced, even if that meant constantly showing up to Vince McMahon's office. Banks stated that she hopes Vince understands how much the tag titles mean to them and the women's division and said that for the majority of 2018, she and Bayley were knocking on his door asking for those belts.

"It felt like the [majority] of last year we were asking. Like we would be knocking on the door of Vince's office every week," she said. "Me and Bayley would go up to him and some weeks he'd say no and some weeks he'd say yes and then bam, it's here. So that just proves that you should never give up on your dreams. If you're annoying enough you can make things happen and that's probably what happened, he just got annoyed with us. I hope he understands how important this is to us and we're going to make it really special. That's just Vince every week - you never know how he's going to be. You just have to keep on trying."

This past Monday on RAW, Sasha Banks went one-on-one with Natalya and Natalya posted a photo on Instagram afterwards and noted that wrestling Sasha made her remember why "The Boss" is one of the best in-ring performers.
