Sasha Banks lands a high profile spot.
Joe Otterson of Variety reports that Sasha Banks will be featured in the opening segment of the 2022 College Football Playoff National Title game on ESPN.
The segment features Banks as a futuristic superhero, sparking the start of the National Championship game by using the final piece of confetti from last year’s game in Miami.
The game between Alabama and Georgia is set to begin at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
“It’s been such an honor, I feel like everybody who has been working on the set, and the whole team have been so incredible… to walk in and to just feel so welcome, and just to see everything, and I was just like, it was amazing,” Banks said. “I love the outfit, I love the concept, and it just fit me so well.”
WWE superstars such as Big E and Goldberg have made appearances on past episodes of College Gameday while Big E also did the voice introductions for ESPN's promo on Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder.
Banks is currently sidelined for up to eight weeks with a foot injury. You can learn more by clicking here.
