Former WWE Women's Champion Sasha Banks recently appeared on the Sam Roberts Podcast before her Hell in a Cell match, discussing many topics.
The Raw Superstar was asked if she had time during her busy schedule to watch Smackdown.“Yes, I do, rarely, sometimes, yes. When I come home on Tuesdays, I usually hang out with Bayley and my bro-bro Danilo (Anfibio, NXT Referee) and we Smack it Down together, but we haven’t done it in a while, because I get busy. Sometimes ya got things to do. But I did watch last week and that No Chin Guy keeps main-eventing Smackdown! What the--?"
That "No Chin Guy" is, of course, former Braun Strowman jobber James Ellsworth, owner of a 2-0 lifetime record against WWE World Champion AJ Styles. "So, anything can really happen in the WWE, so if you have a goal and you have a dream, look at that guy,” said Banks.
Banks was also backstage at Raw when Goldberg made his big return after 12 years away from WWE.
“Oh my gosh, that was so cool. I wasn’t a big fan growing up, because (with WCW Nitro) I was Cruiserweights all the way, but seeing him backstage, he was so nice and he came to me and said Hi, and I was like ‘… wait … are you talking to me? You’re Goldberg.’"
She also gave a little insight about how the former WCW and WWE Champion still gets himself geeked up to head to the ring, even after all these years.
"Right before he went out, he looked at me and Bayley and he went ‘You didn’t see this,’ and he head(butted) the door, just to get himself psyched and ready and I’m like, this is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. It was so cool.”
