Satoshi Kojima is set for action on Saturday, June 12.
Last week it was announced that the New Japan Pro Wrestling legend would be making his IMPACT Wrestling debut on May 27th. He did just that, interrupting a promo from Eric Young and his Violent By Design faction.
Young praised Deaner and Rhino but said that Joe Doering was his first choice when he started recruiting people to join him. He says that Doering cut a path of violence through the country of Japan the likes of which will never be seen again.
This was the comment that brought out Kojima. He entered the ring, stared down the big man and uttered only three words, "Against All Odds." Backstage, a camera crew caught up with VBD, where Doering accepted the challenge.

I'm very excited.
A place with many great wrestlers.
I am honored.
Thank you. https://t.co/WsuAH11ErK
In their last meeting over a decade ago, Kojima defeated Doering to successfully defend the All Japan Triple Crown Championship. They have both held the title, though Kojima holds the distinction of being the first person to ever hold the Triple Crown Championship and NJPW's IWGP Heavyweight Championship at the same time.
Ahead of their match at Against All Odds, Kojima was also announced for a singles match next week against Deaner.
Fightful will have live coverage of IMPACT Against All Odds, as well as a post-show review on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
