Scorpio Jr. passes away at age 58.

The news was shared by El Hijo del Santo on Twitter/X on Thursday, November 8. In the statement, Santo said that he joins the grief that is overwhelming the family of Scorpio Jr.

Throughout his near 40 year career, Scorpio Jr. remained a consistent force in wrestling, having long stints with both CMLL and AAA. Notably, Scorpio Jr. returned to AAA earlier this year after over seven years of being away from the promotion. His final match saw him team with Alan Stone & Zumbido in a six-man tag team match against Las Shotas (Dulce Kanela & Jessy Queen) & Pimpinela Escarlata.

Notably, Scorpio Jr. was able to win the CMLL World Tag Team Championships on two occasions back in 1999 with his then partner, Bestia Salvaje.
