Scorpio Sky: Not A Day Goes By Where I Don't Hear That Miro Deserves The TNT Title More Than I Do

Scorpio Sky offers "The Redeemer" a chance at redemption.

Scorpio Sky is ready to show the world that he can do anything when given the ball. Currently, on his second run with the AEW TNT Championship, Sky has now put his rivalry with Sammy Guevara in the rearview mirror and is looking forward to testing himself against anybody on the AEW roster. There is one name, however, that Sky says he regularly hears about on social media and that is former TNT Champion, Miro.

Speaking on a live AEW Unrestricted podcast, recorded before AEW Double or Nothing 2022, Sky willingly throughout an open challenge to Miro saying that once he defeats him, fans have to stop constantly bringing up Miro as someone who deserves the TNT Championship more than he does.

"Well, not a day goes by that I don't receive several tweets from people saying that Miro should be the champion and not me. So I would like to extend an invitation for him to come up and try to take this from me. So, Miro, if you're out there, you want it? Come and get it," said Scorpio. "But when I beat him, y'all gotta shut the hell up about it."

Continuing on, Scorpio says he's willing to wrestle anybody to prove that he can outwork him between the ropes.

"I'll face anybody. I'm not scared," he said. "I'm not ducking and dodging anybody. That's why it took me so long to get this championship belt, right? Because everybody was ducking and dodging me. Nobody wanted to wrestle me. I didn't get matches on Dynamite. Why? Because nobody wanted to face me, because I wasn't like this star-caliber guy that used to work for Vince McMahon. So if you're getting the ring with me and you look bad, then you don't gain anything from it. So now they got to come after me. I'm the man now, and whether people want to respect it or not, whether people want to give me my do or not, I am the man.

"You know, Giannis Antetokounmpo once stood in a room full of media and he said, 'One day I'm going to be an MVP,' and the entire room laughed at him," Sky continued. "So when I sit in this room, and I say, 'I'm the man,' there are some people saying, 'Ah, yeah, cool.' They're giving me courtesy claps but I know you guys don't believe it. I know you guys are not really — you're kind of sitting here. You're waiting for Thunder Rosa, you're waiting for Hangman to come up. But let me tell you this. I'm gonna go out and I'm gonna prove it. If you give me the opportunity, put me in the ring with anybody, anybody, and I will guarantee you this: there is not a person employed by AEW that can outwork me."

As fate would have it, Miro returned to AEW Dynamite on June 1. In his return, He crushed Johnny Elite (John Morrison) and declared that he would make everyone suffer in an attempt to help his fellow man and strike vengeance upon his God for taking away the TNT Title from him in the first place.
