- The Viking Raiders got their title shot announced after not winning a match on WWE TV since April.

- All three matches of Edge's return have included Randy Orton in 2020.

- Jeff Hardy sustained his first loss since early 2019, as he missed almost a year of in-ring action. He'd won all three matches of his return until facing Sheamus.

- Sheamus now has televised wins every month since making his return in January. He's 10-2 overall since coming back.

- Since losing the Intercontinental Title, Braun Strowman is 7-0 overall. He's beaten Goldberg, Bray Wyatt, The Miz and John Morrison in title matches.

- Edge had his first singles match without a stipulation in over 9 years. It was the tenth Backlash show he's competed at in his career.

- Randy Orton was only competing in his 7th Backlash match, and it was the first of his career that wasn't for a title.

- Randy Orton has competed against Jeff Hardy, Edge, JBL, Cactus Jack, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Batista, Triple H and Jinder Mahal at Backlash.

- Randy Orton hit his first punt since 2013.
