It's about time, says Sean Waltman.

Tony Khan Comments On Streaming Issues For AEW Women's Tournament

The former X-Pac recently sounded off on Renee Young being added to the WWE Raw commentary booth, and made it clear he doesn't see this as her getting the spot because of her gender. On his X-Pac 12360 Podcast, he opened up about the move.

It’s no surprise to me that smart people in the WWE realized this is a really good move. And it’s not just because -- yeah, part of it is obviously the empowerment of women. But, she’s really good at it! … You don’t want people being put in positions just because they’re a woman. Because I don’t think that does any good for the movement, at all. So, you get capable women that are really good at what they do and you give them a shot to do things. And that’s what this is, and it’s great! And I hope she continues to do a great job. Also, to let everyone know that these aren’t the only positions that can be filled by women in the WWE. You can do this, you know what I mean? So, good for her. Good for you, Renee! has been told by several sources that Renee Young's performances on commentary have been met with positivity and praise backstage in the company as well. Young has now served in commentary, hosting, interview, and numerous other roles during her time with WWE.
