Another team has advanced to the semi-finals of the 2022 Men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
On January 18, the 2022 Dusty Cup officially got underway with two quarterfinals matches. The second of those two bouts saw Edris Enofe and Malik Blade take on Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde of Legado del Fantasma. Enofe and Blade earned their way into the tournament by defeating Joe Gacy and Harland last week (via DQ) in a play-in match.
Legado seemed to have the match in control until Santos Escobar hopped up onto the ring apron to provide a distraction for his team, but all it did was bring out Bron Breakker with whom he had a backstage confrontation earlier in the night. The NXT Champion pulled Santos down and carried him away, this pulled Legado's attention away from the match, allowing Enofe and Blade to pick up the win.
Enofe and Blade will face the winner of MSK vs. Jacket Time in the semi-finals.
