Four women remain on the Japan side of the AEW Women's World Championship Eliminator Tournament.
On Monday, the first round of the Japan bracket of the AEW Women's World Championship Eliminator Tournament was held. The event aired on YouTube.
Advancing to the semifinals of the bracket were Yuka Sakazaki, Emi Sakura, Ryo Mizunami, and Aja Kong.
Sakazaki will now face Sakura in the semifinals while Mizunami will battle Kong.
Only Thunder Rosa has advanced on the United States side of the bracket. She defeated Leyla Hirsch on the February 10 episode of AEW Dynamite. Riho is set to take on Serena Deeb on the February 17 episode of AEW Dynamite in first round tournament action.
The winner of the tournament will challenge Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women's Championship. Shida provided commentary for the first round of the Japan bracket on Monday.
