Seth Rollins Calls Fan Attack On WWE Raw "Terrifying," Says He Was Safe And Was Not Injured

Seth Rollins provided an update following a scary incident on the November 22 episode of WWE Raw.

During this past Monday's show, Rollins was attacked by a fan who jumped the guardrails while he was heading back up the entranceway. Officials were able to quickly pull him off of Seth and escort him away, while Rollins exchanged some colorful language with the perpetrator.

Following the incident, WWE issued the following statement to Fightful:

"WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously. The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Marc Raimondi of ESPN provided updates of the situation throughout the evening, noting that a 24-year-old male was taken into custody by the NYPD and has been charged with attempted assault and attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs.

It was later revealed on social media that the perpetrator of the attack had been scammed by a catfish Seth Rollins accountant online. He says that is why he did what he did on Monday Night Raw.

Speaking with TMZ, Rollins commented on the attack saying, "It's terrifying, brother. It happened very quickly. I was mostly just reacting and hoping that our security would come and do their job. Which they did very quickly. And then was just trying to detach and move on. Hope that everybody is okay."

Rollins added that once the tackle happened, he knew what was going on. Luckily, Seth says he was not injured during the attack.

"No, no serious injuries. Nothing like that. I was safe, we were safe. Everything was okay," he said.

In addition to whatever legal punishment the assailant faces, Rollins doesn't think he should be allowed at events either, saying, "I think as a precedence he probably should not be allowed at the events."

Fightful will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
