Seth Rollins Defends Louis CK's Joke About Parkland Shooting Survivors

Louis CK made headlines last night when leaked audio came out of a recent stand up appearance. The bit included jokes about the Parkland shooting survivors and how they have spoken out against gun violence following the Feb. 14 incident that left 17 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students dead.

The bit began with Louis discussing how kids these days are "boring" and touched on gender identification before going into the bit about Parkland students.

“They testify in front of Congress, these kids, what the fuck? What are you doing? You're not interesting," said Louis. "Cause you went to a high school where kids got shot, why does that mean I have to listen to you? Why does that make you interesting? You didn’t get shot. You pushed some fat kid in the way and now I gotta listen to you talking?”

The bit drew the ire of many, while some defended the routine as being fair game because nothing is off limits in the world of stand up comedy.

Independent wrestler Erick Stevens (Eric Koenreich) fell on the side of the former, taking to social media to blast Louis for his comments.

And that's when Seth Rollins jumped in.

Rollins' comments drew heat from WWE fans, who believe "this ain't it" in regards to Rollins defending the routine.

Parkland shooting survivors Kyra Parrow and Aalayah Eastmond, as well Fred Guttenberg, the father of Parkland victim Jaime, did not find humor in Louis' bit.

Other survivors and parents spoke out against Louis. You can read their comments (via The Daily Beast) here.
