Seth Rollins recently spoke to The Sun, and as I'm sure happens to Seth during each and every interview, the topic of conversation turned to The Shield and when they're going to get back together.
Since the trio broke up back in 2014 when Seth turned heel, either they've been separated by a brand split (with Dean Ambrose over on SmackDown) or one of them has been on a different side of the law, as it were. Now, all three are on RAW, and all three are babyfaces, more or less (I'm looking at you, Roman...).
So it's finally a possibility now. The Shield could reunite. But will they?
Here's what Seth had to say about that:
“I’m sure it could happen at some point, you never know. We’re all on our own page and have one goal in mind, like we did before. We’ve all got our individual goals now. It would take something very special to get all three of us back together with a singular goal. That was the focus before, and the reason we came together to begin with, we had a singular goal to make waves. Now we’re on our own, with our own individual goals, so who knows, never say never, but the good thing is I see all of us being around for a long time. There will always be the possibility of us coming back together and slapping on a tac vest.”
So let's put Seth down as a "Maybe."
However, IF they ever were to get back together, Seth knows who he'd want to feud with.
“A Club versus Shield rivalry interests me, for sure. Those are guys who have made a lot of success over the years in there own world. I think that would be a fantasy warfare. Those are all good gentlemen, hardworking guys. We’d have a blast in the ring, we could make some magic if it ever came down to it.”
So there you have it, WWE. Get Finn Balor together with Gallows & Anderson, have them wreck shop all over the place, to the point where the only team that can stop them gets called together by Kurt Angle:
There. Now you can print money.
You're welcome, WWE.
