It was back in March that KENTA informed Inamura that he would be bringing someone with ‘WWE experience’ to NOAH to challenge Inamura for his title.
That individual was Shane Haste, who spent multiple years of his career with NOAH as part of T.M.D.K. with Mikey Nicholls. They are two-time GHC Tag Team Champions. Haste and Nicholls signed with WWE in 2016. Nicholls left the company in 2018 to be with his family in Australia. Haste remained with WWE until 2021, when he was released.
Haste, the new GHC Heavyweight Champion, is a member of the White Raven Squad faction with KENTA, Tetsuya Endo, and HAYATA. After his title win, he told KENTA that he wanted to defend the belt against him in a rematch from 2013 when KENTA bested Haste to retain the GHC Heavyweight Title. KENTA agreed to the bout and expressed to Haste that he’s happy for him.
