This past Tuesday on SmackDown Live, commissioner Shane McMahon told the SmackDown representatives of the tournament that whomever made it to the finals would have to win and if they didn't win then they would be fired from the blue-brand. Representing SmackDown in the finals was former WWE Champion The Miz going up against the RAW representative and longtime rival Dolph Ziggler.

As the match got underway, The Miz "landed awkwardly" and injured his leg and it was decided by the official that he could no longer compete and instead of letting RAW have the easy victory, commissioner Shane McMahon who was at ringside decided to fill in for The Miz and in rather quick fashion after Shane executed his signature moves, he bested Dolph Ziggler and was crowned "The Best In The World".
