Shaul Guerrero Says AEW Inspired Her To Get Back In The Ring, Is In Talks With Multiple Promotions

Shaul Guerrero is looking to get back in the ring.

The daughter of Eddie and Vickie has not wrestled regularly since a stint in FCW/NXT from 2011 to 2013, transitioning to a ring announcer instead. She recently appeared on AEW television, doing ring announcing for the AEW Deadly Draw Women's Tag Team Tournament.

Speaking to Alica Atout, Shaul described her experience at AEW and how it inspired her to give wrestling a try once again.

"I feel very blessed that Brandi Rhodes reached out for me to announce. I feel so lucky because it was getting to see old friends and I got to pick Justin Roberts' brain and get pointers on announcing and stuff like that. Everyone was so kind. There is so much amazing female talent there and it's just like how I feel at [Women of Wrestling]. My experience at AEW is what inspired me to get back in the ring. I was like, 'this is what you could be working toward as a wrestler' because I saw how well they were treated and how much fun (they were having)," she said.

When asked about her plans as an in-ring performer, Shaul said, "I've never actually stepped in as a wrestler on the Indies. That is what my big objective is. I'm in talks with several promotions right now. It's hard because things aren't quite up and running, but you best believe that when they are, I'm going to be in there busting my ass and trying to make a name for myself on the Independent scene."

According to cagematch, Shaul has not wrestled since December 2013 when she teamed with Sasha Banks against Bayley and Emma at an NXT live event. She performed under the ring name Raquel Diaz in FCW/NXT.
