Shawn Michaels: I've Had That Final Match, Father Time Waits For No Man

Shawn Michaels has no plans to have one more match.

Shawn Michaels had what many thought to be his last match at WrestleMania 26 when he lost a Career vs. Streak bout against The Undertaker. He would return to the ring at WWE Crown Jewel 2018 to team with Triple H against The Undertaker & Kane.

2022 has seen legends like Steve Austin, Ric Flair, and Ricky Steamboat return to the ring for one match and questions if they might end up doing it again.

Speaking on Culture State, Michaels was asked if he might do one more match himself.

"I've had that final match. No, no. Father time waits on no man. I'm good. I'm unbelievably happy with my career and it is now time to watch the next generation flourish," he said.

Fightful Select reported on December 14 that Kevin Owens pitched a match to Shawn Michaels, but Michaels didn't think he should do it. Owens wrestled Austin at WrestleMania 38 and wanted to compete against his two all-time favorites.

AJ Styles has also pitched a match against Michaels that was turned down.

Michaels currently runs the NXT brand. If you missed anything from Tuesday's NXT, check out Fightful's full report on the show by clicking here.
