Over the course of the past decade, NXT superstars have found themselves being featured in the Royal Rumble match, with some appearances marking official callups to the WWE main roster. Now, Shawn Michaels has offered advice for first time NXT Rumble participants this year.

While speaking to Vic Joseph in a new interview on WWE’s YouTube channel, Shawn Michaels was asked about what advice he would give to NXT superstars competing in their first Rumble.

“Do your best not to be overwhelmed, not to overthink it. Take time to enjoy that moment, and don’t be afraid to pat yourself on the back and be proud of yourself.”
