Willow Nightingale AEW TBS Title Celebration Added To 4/24 AEW Dynamite

“Tommaso is the epitome of the guy that’s done everything, and once you see Bron, you very quickly realize that he’s going to be the guy that’s done everything,” Michaels says. “The genes run deep in that family, and he’s got all of them. He is one of those individuals who has it. He’s an unbelievably wonderful, passionate, hardworking young man, and he is everything that is great about this line of work.”

“He’s a throwback,” Michaels says of Breakker, real life nephew of Scott Steiner and son of Rick Steiner. “He took the same path that Wahoo McDaniel, Ernie Ladd, John Bradshaw, Ted DiBiase and Big E took. They went far in their collegiate career, but they always had this desire to be a WWE superstar. That’s Bron, and he’s taking this place by storm. And it’s even better when you know there is a great young man behind that person.”

- Speaking with Sportskeeda, Indi Hartwell reflected on the changes to NXT.

"For me, it hasn't been too different. I'm still kind of doing the same thing but it's really gratifying to see a lot of the people I trained with, in the performance center who are now getting opportunities on TV, and a lot of them, who, you know, haven't been there for so long but have roughed their butts off to get a spot on TV. So now people like Bron Breakker and Tony D'Angelo and Trick Williams, they're all getting a chance to shine on TV. So that's really cool to see. So, that's probably my favorite thing about NXT 2.0.", Indi Hartwell said.

- Ring of Honor has commented on the Briscoes winning the GCW Tag Team Championship, issuing the following:

BRISCOES WIN GCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
As the Briscoes continue to climb the rankings on their quest to become 12-time ROH World Tag Team Champions, Dem Boys have added another accolade to their resume.

Jay and Mark Briscoe are the new Game Changer Wrestling Tag Team Champions after defeating Second Gear Crew (Mance Warner and Matthew Justice) Saturday at GCW’s War Ready in Los Angeles.

The Briscoes scored the victory on SGC’s home turf in a wild, bloody brawl that included tables and chairs used as weapons.

The match came about after the Briscoes made a surprise appearance at a GCW event on Oct. 9 in Atlantic City, N.J., and issued the challenge after SGC said there weren’t any teams in pro wrestling that could beat them.

The Briscoes, who are currently ranked No. 4 in ROH’s tag team division, have held tag team gold in other promotions over the years, including New Japan and Combat Zone Wrestling.

Keep in locked on ROHWrestling.com and ROH’s social media channels for news regarding when and where the Briscoes will defend the GCW belts.

"For me to be able to work and build this division...I'm so proud of this division. And I express it all the time. When I say I think our division is stacked, I am not exaggerating by any means. I feel like there are no holes in our division. I feel like everyone just has something different to bring and we're just going to get better from here.", said Gail Kim.

- Speaking with Z100, CM Punk explains why he prefers Chicago Pizza to New York Pizza.

I think when people talk about Chicago pizza, I think the idea to the common folk, such as maybe yourself, think is that deep dish is Chicago pizza. That's there for the tourists. That's the cheese we put in the mousetrap. You know? If you're going thin versus then Chicago beats New York all day, every day. 100%.

It's the water we have. We just have better water here. Lake Michigan. You know, you guys are you guys are suffering stuff out of the Atlantic. It's not [lending itself to a] good pizza crust.

- Speaking with Cageside Seats' Shakiel Mahjouri, Chris Van Vliet discussed spiking himself taking Gangrel's Impaler DDT:

“Oh my gosh, the lesson is don’t do it. If we take it back here, I trained to be a pro-wrestler. It was my dream and my goal to be a pro-wrestler. When I was 20-years-old, I went to wrestling school in Toronto. I went to the Squared Circle, trained for a few months and then kind of had this fork in the road where I'm like, ‘Am I going to focus on wrestling school or am I going to focus on school school?’” he tells Cageside Seats’ Shakiel Mahjouri. “Fast-forward almost 20 years and I’m doing a TV segment at Gangrel’s wrestling school in Dania Beach, Florida. We’re locking up, we’re taking some bumps and I said, ‘Gangrel, it would be such an honour to take your finishing move, The Impaler DDT.’ And he’s like, ‘Sure.’ I’m thinking, ‘I’ve taken DDTs before.’

“I jumped a little too much and spiked myself right on my head. It should be more of a front bump. You know that RVD bump where he takes it on his head and somehow his neck is a spring? That’s how I accidentally took it. Knocked the wind out of me. I swear to you, Shak, I had this moment after I hit the mat where I’m thinking, ‘Can I feel my extremities? Okay, I can! We’re good, I’m not paralyzed,’” he continues. “None of this was his fault. I took it incorrectly. I would probably not take it again unless it was on a crash mat or something.”
