Shawn Michaels Reveals His Wife Negotiated His Latest WWE Contract

Shawn Michaels reveals that his wife worked out his latest WWE deal.

Joining Stephanie McMahon for a recording of her What’s Your Story? podcast was NXT overseer Shawn Michaels.

As the conversation moved along, Michaels revealed that his wife, Rebecca Curci-Hickenbottom, negotiated his latest WWE contract.

“She’s the rock of the family,” Michaels said about his wife. “I know that sounds cliché to say but, you know… she put everything, every ounce of her life on hold and poured into those children every day, and continues to do it to this day. Supported me along the whole way, and taking care of everything from a business standpoint behind the scenes and continues to do it now. I mean, you know, she’s the one that negotiated my last contract,” Michaels laughed. “She was the one on the phone… I’m a pushover, and when it comes to this place, I have a love, a passion and a loyalty to this place, and she has it as well. But nothing comes before us, and that’s the line that I have trouble drawing, and she doesn’t. So, I let her handle it, and right now, she’s doing great.”
