Adam Hampton plays a former Major League Baseball player who returns to his home in rural-Texas to confront his abusive step-father, played by Michaels. The teaser, set to a version of Nirvana's Come As You Are, puts the Heartbreak Kid's character in a precarious position as he must fend off the men coming to kill him.
Brett Bentman served as both screenwriter and director of the crime-thriller. He has worked primarily on small, independent features thus far, not experiencing much in the way of mainstream success. Venture Capital Productions produced in association with B22 Films, a company that Bentman founded alongside his wife Tiffany.
According to the report, 90 Feet From Home will debut on June 20th during the TLC Chinese Theatre’s Dances With Films festival. The film also stars Eric Roberts, Dean Cain, Thom Hallum, Steven Michael Quezada, and Alexandria DeBerry.
Michaels became a two-time WWE Hall of Famer when he was inducted as a member of D-Generation X earlier this year. He last performed in November 2018 when he came out of retirement for a tag team match at WWE's Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia, but has since been adamant about no longer wanting to wrestle.
