The feud continues in Canada.
Capital City Championship Combat (C4) Wrestling held their Fighting Back 9 event on Aug. 16 in Ottawa. Fighting Back 9 is their annual event where proceeds go to the Canadian Cancer Society. During the show, AEW stars Cody Rhodes & MJF teamed up to defeat Tabernak De Team (Mathieu St-Jacques & Thomas Dubois).
After the bout, Shawn Spears made a surprise appearance, taking out MJF before setting his sights on Cody. Fortunately for Cody, before Spears could land another chair shot, MJF recovered and made the save. Cody almost got the last laugh with the Cross Rhodes, but Spears was able to slip out and slither away. TDT tossed Spears back where a chair shot was teased.

After the TDT vs. Cody & MJF match at the C*4 Fighting Back show in Ottawa, Canada, Shawn Spears appeared to confront Cody. Spears and Cody will settle their score at AEW All Out on Aug. 31.
